HJA represents the largest number of non-state core participants in the Undercover Policing Inquiry, the vast majority being in the categories of political campaigners and social and environmental activists, and also animal rights campaigners. 

Many relate to miscarriages of justice such as the Ratcliffe-on-Soar and Drax train actions, and the Good Easter Hunt Sab and Fairford Coaches, where the presence of undercover officers impacted on their arrests. 

Other clients include the families of Ricky Reel and Michael Tachie-Menson, Neville Lawrence OBE, Movement for Justice, and Lord Peter Hain. 

Individuals represented by Hodge Jones & Allen are from Reclaim the Streets, McLibel Support Campaign, London Greenpeace, Genetic Engineering Network, Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty, London Animal Action, International Solidarity Movement, Trapese, WOMBLES, Camp for Climate Action, and the AWE Aldermaston campaign.

The recognised legal representative for most of these is Mike Schwarz (previously of Bindmans). Cormac McDonough represents Maya, an individual who was deceived into a relationship and several others who were with the International Solidarity Movement; while Susie Labinjoh (previously Jocelyn Cockburn) represents Neville Lawrence OBE.
