Below are excerpts from the 'Rob Harrison' set of profiles at the former Undercover Research Group wiki, last updated in 2019. Since then, 'Maya' has come forward about the relationship he deceived her into while deployed.
Evidence regarding HN18's deployment has not yet been heard by the Inquiry. An updated profile will appear in due course.
Other than Globalise Resistance, the majority of Harrison's time as an undercover focused on an amorphous network of anarchist and anti-war activists. The groups he focused most on were London International Solidarity Movement (ISM), London No Borders and State of Emergency, though he touched on quite a number of others.
A friend noted that it was through London ISM that he would have gained contact with No Borders and State of Emergency. All three groups overlapped in terms of people, and it seems Rob actively used this crossover to facilitate moving among them.
Harrison also had contacts with the groups that had emerged out of the WOMBLES, in particular with people in various squatted social centres in London, such as The Square, rampART, Vortex, etc.
He was viewed with suspicion within the State of Emergency Collective and a number of people came to believe he was police. This was exacerbated by the sense of creepiness female activists had around him and the accusation he had groped a friend of someone active in State of Emergency during a party, something he strenuously denied.
He was arrested at a arms fair protest at Dsei in 2007, which was a catalyst for the SDS being shut down.
Harrison deceived 'Maya' into a relationship, she has come forward and is due to give evidence.
