Overview

The Legion of St. George were a small breakway group from the fascist National Front who existed in the east end of London in 1976.

There are no public records about them, other than those written by Special Branch.

HN303 'Peter Collins' was tasked by his managers to infiltrate the Workers Revolutionary Party (WRP). At the behest of the WRP, Collins was asked to attend right-wing meetings in the east end of London.

The Inquiry did not hear whom from within the WRP asked Collins to infiltrate the the Legion of St George, nor why the WRP group chose him to do so, or how he went about his task.

Collins' limited reporting on this group as well as the reasons given by SDS management for ending the deployment are discussed in his profile.
