Procedural Hearing 11: Anonymity (MPS Applications V)
This was the fifth such hearing in the Undercover Policing Inquiry to address applications for anonymity orders over the real and cover names of former Special Demonstration Squad officers.
As the hearing was boycotted by non-state and other core participants (see previous hearing), it was very short. Those opposed to Mitting granting restriction orders (as signalled in his various Minded-To notes ) had provided only written submissions.
After this hearing, Mitting abandoned open hearings for anonymity processes.
