Overview

PILC represents political activists and justice campaigns in the Undercover Policing Inquiry.

These include Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, Stop the War Coalition and Youth Against Racism in Europe.

It also represents the former MP Dave Nellist, Richard Chessum and ‘Mary’, who was deceived into a relationship by HN297 Rick Gibson / ‘Rick Clark’, as well as witness Michael Chant of the Communist Party of England who had a miscarriage of justice referral as a result of being targeted by HN13 Barry Loader'.

In July 2023, it produced its own critique of what had been learned in Tranche 1 of the Undercover Policing Inquiry, which it released as a report: Spycops - when the public is the enemy.

Their recognised legal representative is Paul Heron.
