Overview

Slater & Gordon was the Recognised Legal Representative for a number of former undercover officers and managers in the Undercover Policing Inquiry.

It was originally referred to as Russell, Jones & Walker until that firm was taken over by the Australian firm Slater & Gordon. 

Individuals represented by them are sometimes referred to as the S&G Officers as distinct from those represented by the Designated Lawyers via the Metropolitan Police.

The solicitor who represented them there is Scott Ingram, who has since moved to the firm of DAC Beachcroft LLP, taking his clients with him. In the past their main counsel has been Richard Whittam KC (chambers: Matrix) and Ben Brandon (chambers then: 3 Raymond Buildings).
